What is Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
A lymphatic drainage massage is a treatment technique that stimulates areas of your body to help lymphatic fluids flow more easily through manual movements. The lymphatic system is part of your body’s immune system, those manual movements help to eliminate toxins and excess fluids that accumulate in body tissues, causing swelling and aggravating cellulite.
What specifically is Detox by Rebecca treatment?
We offer a unique holistic technique designed to reduce inflammation within the body through the lymphatic system. Our approach effectively targets the underlying causes of inflammation, addressing congestion with a specialized blend of manual lymphatic drainage massage and cutting-edge equipment, including cupping and radiofrequency technology.
What sets us apart is our exclusive, custom equipment, available only to our team and clients. Unlike traditional massage methods, our personalized approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. As a result, our clients frequently experience reduced bloating after just one session.
What are the primary components of the Detox by Rebecca treatment?
Our treatment approach is highly personalized, tailored to the unique needs of each individual. In general, it involves a systematic process of identifying areas of congestion and pinpointing the root causes. The core principle is to facilitate the smooth flow of lymph fluids towards the lymph nodes, effectively eliminating inflammation and toxins from the body. To achieve this, we employ a combination of manual massage techniques and specialized equipment, which we customize for each client’s specific requirements
What makes it such a unique procedure?
I’ve spent many years learning and perfecting my technique to help each client get the best results. This experience has taught me a lot about why people swell up and have inflammation. We all have different habits, lifestyles, and genes that can make our bodies swell and cause health problems. To really help, we need to find and fix what’s causing the swelling. Everyone is different, so I talk to my clients to understand what they need and then come up with the right treatment just for them.
Who should get a treatment?
The Detox by Rebecca method is suitable for individuals of all age groups and body types looking to improve their skin’s look and reduce body measurements. This treatment can be especially beneficial for those dealing with issues like stubborn fat deposits, cellulite, loose skin, fluid retention, and swelling. Its primary goal is to enhance both blood and lymphatic circulation, contributing to overall health and well-being.
How often should you get a treatment?
The frequency of your lymphatic drainage treatments varies depending on your specific needs, objectives, and lifestyle habits. Initially, some clients opt for more frequent sessions to kick start their lymphatic system, gradually spacing them out as it becomes more efficient. Individuals with certain medical conditions or those in post-surgery recovery might require more frequent treatments. For those seeking the general benefits of lymphatic massage, a recommended frequency would typically range from 1 to 4 times per month. Your treatment frequency will be personalized to ensure the best results for your unique circumstances.
What type of results should you expect?
The primary advantage of the Detox by Rebecca Technique is the enhancement of your immune and digestive systems. By eliminating bloating and cleansing the lymphatic system, your body becomes more efficient at flushing out toxins. This technique can also lead to improvements in reducing fluid retention, cellulite appearance, and body shaping. However, it’s important to note that individual results can vary and may be influenced by factors such as lifestyle, dietary habits, and treatment frequency.
What are some things we can do to maintain the results?
To ensure long-lasting and optimal results, here are some key steps you can take:
Stay Hydrated
Drinking an adequate amount of water is crucial to keep your skin and body hydrated. Proper hydration helps maintain fluid balance, aids in flushing out toxins, and reduces the risk of swelling.
Adopt a Balanced Diet
Maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet is essential. It provides your body with essential nutrients and antioxidants, which can help reduce inflammation and support your lymphatic system. Incorporate plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole foods into your daily meals.
Regular Exercise
Establishing a consistent exercise routine is beneficial for your overall health and can complement the effects of the treatment. Exercise can help boost circulation, which aids in toxin elimination and reduces the appearance of cellulite.
Holistic Consistency
As a holistic technique, consistency is key to maintaining and improving the results. Staying committed to a healthy lifestyle, including proper hydration, nutrition, and exercise, will help you maximize the benefits of our treatment over time.
By following these guidelines, you can actively contribute to the longevity of the positive changes you’ve achieved through this holistic approach.
Why is lymphatic drainage so important?
Lymphatic drainage is essential for overall health and well-being. This natural process helps the body eliminate toxins, reduce fluid retention, and support a balanced immune system. The lymphatic system acts as a vital network that filters and cleanses the body’s tissues, ensuring they function optimally. By promoting the smooth flow of lymphatic fluid, lymphatic drainage assists in reducing inflammation, enhancing tissue healing, and contributing to healthy, radiant skin.
You are such a pioneer in bringing this type of treatment and awareness to the U.S., why did you feel this was important?
The primary motivation behind introducing this approach to the United States was my first hand experience of the remarkable results and benefits it had already demonstrated in Brazil. I was deeply inspired to make this technique more accessible to a wider range of people who were looking for natural and non-invasive solutions.
My enduring goal has always been to offer a secure, effective, and holistic option for individuals striving to enhance their appearance and overall quality of life through lymphatic drainage. And now, after launching my Training Program, I’m incredibly fulfilled to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise in lymphatic drainage massage with therapists from around the world. This allows me to further spread the benefits of this technique and make a meaningful contribution to the global wellness community.
What advice do you have about swelling during traveling?
Several factors cause swelling during travel. The fact that people spend hours sitting can make circulatory return difficult, causing blood to accumulate in the thighs and legs. Some tips that can help to combat swelling and discomfort are: drink plenty of water, put your legs up for 10 minutes and use compression socks. Those tips are for trips where you spend a lot of time sitting, but you also can check my instagram @detoxbyrebecca where I gave specific tips to avoid swelling when traveling by plane.
What is your morning wellness routine?
When I wake up the first thing I do is scrape my tongue. Tongue scraping in the morning removes bacteria and toxins the body accumulated during the night. After that, it is very important to drink a glass of water. Your lymphatic system uses water overnight to detox your body, so when you wake up you need to replace the water to continue the cleansing process. Then I drink herbal tea. Taking natural herbs on an empty stomach helps to stimulate and cleanse your lymphatic system, preparing it to function more effectively throughout the day. After 2 years of research, I was finally able to develop my own tea: “Detox by Rebecca Lymphatic Cleanse Tea”. It is a blend of herbs that have anti-inflammatory and detoxification properties.

What is your bedtime wellness routine?
My bedtime wellness routine is designed to prioritize a healthy circadian cycle, and it starts with the commitment to be in bed by 11 PM. This consistent bedtime is crucial for synchronizing my internal body clock with the natural day-night cycle, which impacts various physiological processes, including hormone regulation and sleep patterns. To further support a good night’s rest, I adhere to a few essential habits. Firstly, I avoid consuming heavy meals late at night. This practice helps prevent discomfort and indigestion that can disrupt sleep. Instead, I opt for lighter, easily digestible evening meals.
Additionally, I make a conscious effort to steer clear of my cellphone after 9 PM. The blue light emitted by screens can interfere with the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep. By disconnecting from screens, I create a conducive environment for relaxation and rest.
What do you eat on a typical day?
My daily diet emphasizes simplicity and diversity, with a strong focus on real, whole foods. I recognize the vital role these foods play in promoting overall health and well-being. My dietary choices encompass a wide array of options, including fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. I tend to avoid processed foods due to their often high sugar content. Excessive sugar consumption can lead to increased fluid retention, potentially causing feelings of bloating and discomfort.
You and your husband recently welcomed a baby, how do you think motherhood has changed your perception of health and wellness?
The responsibility of caring for a child has made me even more aware of the importance of maintaining good health. I now prioritize self-care not just for my own well-being but also to ensure I can provide the best possible care for my baby. This includes a focus on a balanced diet, regular exercise, and managing stress to create a healthy environment for both of us. I have made adjustments to my schedule to ensure that I am able to balance the demands of work and motherhood. This may mean working shorter hours, or taking breaks throughout the day to spend time with my child.
Any upcoming projects or new treatments we can be on the lookout for?
Certainly, there are some exciting developments in the works. This year has been dedicated to training new therapists in my technique here in Los Angeles. In addition to our existing Detox by Rebecca In-person Training, I’m thrilled to share that we’re on the verge of launching a Digital Training course. This course is designed to bring my methodology to a global audience, making it more accessible than ever before.
Furthermore, I’ve been actively collaborating with laboratories and chemists over the past months to create exclusive products. While I can’t divulge all the details just yet, I’m excited to share more in the near future. Rest assured, you’ll be among the first to hear about these exciting developments right here at Modeliste.
