Mode Around the Globe: Madison Grace on Modeliste Influencer Getaway to Maui
Modeliste: One thing you still have from your childhood?
My stuffed animal George from Build A Bear! He’s a monkey wearing a karate uniform and roller-skates. He even makes a monkey noise when you press his arm.
Modeliste: Favorite song lyrics?
“Sweatpants, hair tied chillin’ with no make up on that’s when you’re the prettiest, I hope that you don’t take it wrong.” 😉
-Drake
Modeliste: What song would you probably be caught dancing alone to?
Juice by Lizzo!
Modeliste: If you could work the runway, what song would it be?
Bad guy by Billie Eilish
Modeliste: Best gift you’ve ever given?
I think it might be, a gift I gave my sister. It was a swivel picture frame with a touching sentiment engraved on the frame, and a picture of us all grown up and then on the other side sister is one of us as babies.
Modeliste: Fashion icon?
I really don’t have one person in particular. I just look at magazines, or online to see what I like.
Modeliste: Favorite movie of all time?
I Origins. It’s Such a great movie and will change the way you look at life.
Modeliste: If you could make a documentary, what would it be about?
It would be about traveling to and showing off beautiful parts of the world and different cultures.
Modeliste: If you could make a cameo in any TV show what would it be?
Dead To Me, it’s my new favorite!
Modeliste: Best plot twist of all time?
I’d have to say the best plot twist of all time was in the movie “Orphan” I’d tell you what it is, but I don’t want to ruin it for the people that haven’t seen it. What a crazy movie!
Modeliste: First celebrity crush?
Probably Zac Efron in High School Musical.
Modeliste: Current celebrity crush?
Probably Shawn Mendes, he’s adorable and I like his music.
Modeliste: Guilty pleasure?
Jenis ice cream – The cream puff flavor.
Modeliste: Most proud moment?
My proudest moment would have to be when I went on a 41 city tour with my sister. I got to perform a duet with her and it was such an unreal feeling performing in front of thousands of people (especially the very first time). I wasn’t nervous at all, and went out on stage like I’ve done it a hundred times before. I was seventeen then, I’m not sure I would have the same confidence today.
Modeliste: What is your morning beauty routine?
I wash my face with a gel cleanser, and then use a cotton pad with an apple cider vinegar toner (it’s a mixture that I make myself at home). Then I use a tinted moisturizer that’s also has a SPF of 40, and some lip balm. I don’t wear makeup during the day, unless I’m shooting. I then make a healthy green shake in the morning, have some overnight oats that Imade the night before and I’m out the door to take some kind of workout class.
Modeliste: 3 ultimate beauty must-haves
Mascara, lip balm and blotting sheets, (I have oily skin and those blotting sheets are life savers).
Modeliste: Best beauty advice you have ever received.
My mom gave me the best beauty advice when she told me less is more. It’s so true! I’ve learned that I don’t need as much foundation, so now I just use a damp beauty blender and put on very little. I’m also using more natural tones in lipstick.
Modeliste: Favorite fashion trend you’re wearing this season?
I’m really into the barely there sandals look and I’ve been loving the neon trend for Summer. I also love slip dresses.
Modeliste: What did you love most about the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa?
Everything about the resort was so cool, especially that it was oceanfront. I loved that it was filled with animals such as, African penguins, swans, ducks, flamingoes, and parrots! The swimming pool was huge and had the best water slide ever, I must’ve gone on at least 10 times. Also, I loved how at the end of the day, there was a different surprise dessert waiting for me. It was a dream vacation.
Modeliste: What was your favorite part about our Maui Getaway?
My favorite part was just getting to be in such a beautiful location shooting for Modeliste magazine and meeting new people in our travel group. Our amazing activities included a really amazing helicopter ride overlooking the island, an authentic Luau with hula dancers and drumming, All in all, the locale was beautiful, but the people I was with, made it a memorable vacation.
