Tell us about your new swim line, Her Own.
Her Own for me has been a moment in time where I’ve come from working with so many brands on collaborations and finally getting to do something for myself, which is why I named it Her Own. I studied design in college, so getting to merge these two worlds of design, social media, and everything that I’m good at and come out with a swim line, is really a dream come true for me. I love really unique pieces, as you can see. I love things that are different. A basic bikini is good, you’ll always have that. But I love something that’ll stand out and that’s a little more eye-catching, which is why I went for more bold prints, more exaggerated lines, little details like that.
What are the 3 Top Swimwear Trends this summer?
I think the top three swimwear trends would probably be high rise cheeky, bralette style tops, and anything high neck with a little cleavage I have a one-piece that’s a high neck with a little something going on in the front showing a little cleavage, but it’s still nice and elegant. Her Own is officially launching August 10. Mark your calendars.
Where are you from?
I was born in Bristol, England actually. Then I grew up in the Bay Area and went to school at UCLA in LA.
Any summer plans you’re looking forward to?
I think I’m most looking forward to just chilling and doing absolutely nothing. Hanging out at home and just relaxing because honestly, it’s been 0 to 100 this summer, which I love, but I’m also down to just sit on the couch.
Beauty product you couldn’t live without?
Dry shampoo. Cannot live without dry shampoo. Probably launching my own swimwear line.
What’s your favorite time of day?
Golden hour… sunset.
What are you looking forward to most with this issue release?
I’m mostly excited just to see myself in a magazine. Also, I feel like I’m used to being very smiley and commercial. Getting to shoot with Emma and be really serious and be a model, that’s really exciting for me because I’m not a model, but it’s really fun to pretend I am. I’m so excited for this to come out. I cannot wait to see these photos and especially see my swimwear on my best friends. This issue is going to be incredible!
