Where did you grow up?

I grew up in West LA, then in Hollywood, California.

Where do you live now?

I live in Georgia.

What is one thing you miss the most about your hometown?

Absolutely nothing! I love living in the Deep South.

What do you love most about being an actress and a dancer?

I love that I am fortunate enough to have a platform to express myself. From playing different characters to reimagining music through movement, my art has always made me feel like I no longer had any limits.

How did you begin your career?

I began my career at age 5 doing commercials and modeling.

What has been your favorite role so far?

In regard to recent projects, I would say Cut Throat City and playing Julie in Love In The Villa (out this year on Netflix).

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do in a role?

Everything mentally feels hard when you put your truth into it. Physically, I’d have to say running in handcuffs. haha.

Tell us about your dancing. When did you begin? Where do you draw your inspiration from?

I started dancing at around age 4. I continued through age 18 and was backup dancing for different artists a lot. I used to draw my inspiration from Shirley Temple, and then Janet Jackson.

If you could dance with anyone, who would it be?

It would be Josephine Baker.

What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever done in your life?

Fall in love.

What’s a TV show you would like to make a cameo in?

OZARK!

If you had a podcast, what would it be about?

I do have a podcast! It’s called Women United with Dr. Mindy Pelz where we have empowering conversations about women’s health, wellness and activism. It’s coming in March. I’ve also been finding a home for my podcast on Consciousness with Deepak Chopra.

Favorite dish to cook?

Sweet potato gnocchi in a cinnamon sage butter sauce.

Favorite book that you enjoyed recently?

Salvador Dali’s Cookbook.

What’s the best way to decompress?

Instantly? Turn off your phone. If you have an hour, meditation and breathwork.

What makes you smile the most?

My humanitarian work.

One talent you wish you had?

Better piano skills

One thing you still have from your childhood?

My first pair of shoes

Stromae’s “Sante”

What’s the best thing that happened this year?

Filming my refugee documentary and meeting so many incredible people who have deeply inspired me.

What are you looking forward to in 2022?

Everything!!!
