What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
If you know me, you know self-care is my thing. I refuse to start my day without taking an hour every morning to show up for myself. I do my 10-step skincare routine, eye masks, red light therapy, read a self-help book, journal, and avoid screen time for the first two hours of the day (though this sometimes depends on my schedule). Me time every morning!
How do you like to spend your free time?
I am definitely an introvert (an extrovert around the right people), but learning to obsess over my alone time and enjoy being alone has been my greatest lesson in life. My nights alone always consist of a bath, lots of skin prep, face masks, and a lot (I mean a LOT) of reality TV. Love Island and a nice glass of wine while soaking in my face mask on the couch until I fall asleep is my favorite way to spend any free time I have.
What’s a skill you wish you had?
Honestly, time management. It might sound lame, but it's always been my biggest struggle, and it definitely takes a lot of work to perfect. I simply wish I put enough time into it.
If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Marilyn Monroe. Easy.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from.
What’s your favorite book?
Atomic Habits by James Clear! Seriously, please read it. I constantly go back and reread chapters.
Describe your perfect day.
I know this probably would never exist, knowing how obsessed with work I am, but a day with absolutely no phone or laptop, on a beach in Greece, with no contact with people sounds like a dream. Maybe with a Caesar and a pickle in it!
What’s a hidden talent you have?
This isn't a talent at all, and honestly, I probably have none, but my friends always tell me I'm a witch because I manifest everything in my life. I'll take that as a talent!
What are your favorite beauty products at the moment?
I'm loving anything that makes me look my glowiest (or sweatiest, but in a good way). So, I’ve been super into brightening creams and glazing fluids. Also, I can't leave my house without lip liner! The Pixi On-The-Glow Blush is a must for no-makeup days as well.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I always say LA, and while that’s probably my next place to live (manifesting as we speak), I’m definitely a girl who thrives in Europe. Maybe France?
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
The closest people in my life—and also maybe my Caudalie Beauty Elixir spray.
What’s your favorite season, and why?
Obviously summer! I would say I’m the most unmotivated version of myself during October to April because of the weather in Canada, but as soon as the sun comes out, I feel alive again.
What’s a hobby you’ve always wanted to pick up but haven’t yet?
Tennis, and I’m definitely working on it this year! I'm the type of person who feels unmotivated when I’m not instantly incredible at something, so it’s been a struggle since tennis is harder than it looks, haha.
What’s your go-to comfort food?
Kraft Mac and Cheese. If I could eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be that.
What’s your favorite quote?
Okay, this might sound lame and overused, but "Everything happens for a reason" is something I tell myself probably 25 times a day. It makes me feel a little more sane about not having control over certain situations.
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?
A very long walk with my dog, zoning out while sitting in nature, and, as we all know, a lot of self-care afterward.
How do you practice self-care?
I practice self-care by being selfish with my time, allowing myself to do things that make me the happiest version of myself, even if it upsets others. If I'm happy, I’m a much better version of myself for the rest of the world.
What’s a goal you’re working towards right now?
Honestly, allowing myself to celebrate all my accomplishments. Without celebrating myself and everything I’ve achieved, my goals can start to feel less important.
What was your favorite part of your stay at Villa Premiere?
I can’t pick just one thing! The team was so warm and welcoming—every interaction I had created a memory. The rooms and the food were out of this world. I still think about the dinners we had every night!
What did you love most about the getaway?
The girls, the community, and connecting with people who are so different yet so similar! Connecting with women is something I will never take for granted, and I’m so happy Modeliste gave me the opportunity to do so in such a beautiful place!
