Welcome to the June issue

One of the many conversations we’ve been having at Modeliste lately is about who exactly should be gracing our covers given the world we now live in. We’ve always taken the position that the women we feature should have substance to them, which is why I’m delighted that Camilla Luddington is on our May cover. Known primarily for her role on Grey’s Anatomy, as Dr. Jo Karev (formerly Dr. Jo Wilson), Grey’s Anatomy, which just surpassed ER as the longest-running medical drama. Camilla has negotiated a life for herself that can somehow happily accommodate her long standing role on the hit ABC TV series as well as her biggest role as being a mother. She is passionate about both. I first met Camilla 7 years ago at another photoshoot when she was rising to stardom and have loved watched her evolve and grow into her many new roles. She is as open and funny as she is down-to-earth and radiantly beautiful. Be sure to read her full interview in our Model Diaries.
Elsewhere in the issue, Modeliste Mode Around the Globe took some of our favorite social stars to the vibrant Caribeean island of Jamaica as well as to one of the world’s most picturesque paradises, The Maldives. We would also like to give a special thanks to Turkish Airlines for showing us the extraordinary culture, sites and amazing eats in Istanbul and for flying us in style to the Maldives.
