10 SPRING 2015 FASHION TRENDS By Joey Thao

1) DENIM

Denim Tops, Pants, Skirts, Jackets, You can never go wrong with denim. This season don’t be afraid to pair denim on denim or mix light denim with dark denim. On the runway, we saw Denim in military styles, bedazzled, even in bright bold colors to make big statements. Long live Denim!

2) FRINGE

Sonia Rykiel

Shake it, Shake it! Fringe is making a big splash this Spring. We can see it in leather, suede, and in tassels this season. Mix your fringe pieces with your favorite basics, whether it be your go to black belt to your signature white crop top. Don’t be afraid to mix your fringe, so it doesn’t overpower your look.

3) POM-POM

This trend is perfect for your Spring break get away. We saw Adam Selman mix a little cultural flare to his collection with Pom-Poms. Find these separates in vivid bold colors and pair them with strong accessories to get your flirty Spring break look. Reminds me of Hot Havana Nights!

4) ATHLETIC CHIC

Alexander Wang

Keeping up with the American classic, Sportswear has been an American staple forever. This season we can see Alexander Wang, Givenchy, and Proenza Schouler inspired by their favorite sports trends. Mixing strong colors, shoelaces, and sports trims, This season’s looks have me wanting to join the team!

5) PREFORATED

Versace

Peek a Boo, We see Versace use this perforated trend in their collection this season. Pairing it with vivid basics under Perforated separates, Versace scores a solid ten in my book. This trend gives you a little air to breathe and show off some skin. Breakthrough this spring with this fabulous trend.

6) BOHO CHIC

Emilio Pucci

Just in time for Coachella, The new Bohemian trends are back. From eccentric necklaces, bundles of rings, to sleek chiffon’s. I see the Boho trend aiming a bit more 70’s this season. For Boho this season remember more is better, Layer your favorite hippie trends with a jumpsuit, maxi, or blouse to get a total bohemian chic fit.

7) TROUSERS

Chanel

Move over skinny jeans, Find yourself a great trouser for Spring 2015. Either it wide leg, high waisted, to striped find the cut and style that fits you best. You can already see your favorite celebrities such as Rihanna, Jessie J, to Rachel Zoe rocking these trends. My favorite trouser this season would be a wide leg high waisted.

9) LINEAR

Balmain

Long and Linear, These Linear trends have my gasping for more. Many designers such as Tom Ford, Balmain, and Altuzarra have ditched the traditional stripes and added a little more sex appeal to your everyday lines. You can see you favorite designer giving the lines a little edge such as sequins, mesh, and a little rockabilly flare.

10) 70’s

Altuzarra

The 70’s have taken over. The major trend I saw this season was 70’s inspired pieces in several shows this season. From the cuts, patterns, accessories, and shoes don’t be afraid to find you inner flower child.
