How would you define yourself in three words?
Visionary, prolific, and honest

In what ways have you been incorporating self – care into your daily routine?
I’ve been eating better (or at least trying to, haha). I always make sure to make time for working out and stretching! It’s important to me to have that time to for myself, where I can truly be in the moment and not thing about anything else. For me, working out is a great de-stresser and is important to my mental well-being.

What’s the most fulfilling part of your job?
Other than meeting my incredible fans that keep me going, I think a huge fulfilling part is getting to create a song or group of songs that just come straight from the heart. It is the most exciting adrenaline rush!

Can you tell us about an exciting time in your career?
I’ve been blessed with many!!! There have been opportunities where I’ve gotten to sing on stage with some amazing artist like Nick Jonas, Lee Ann Womack, Andra Day, and Common. If I could list everything I would!

What would you title this current chapter in your life?

Evolving. As we all go through life’s hiccups right now, plus trying to be creative in my career, I feel like I’m learning so much more about myself, my music, and everything around me.

How do you educate yourself on ways of maintaining healthy skin?
I love watching routines that some celebrities put up to see how they take care of their skin or I just research the best I can. I’m a dry skin gal so the moisturizer is my best friend!!!.

What does the word empowerment mean to you?
It motivates me. That word is what I try to run towards when it comes to myself and my career. I want to inspire others and I want to represent myself as a strong symbol that young women especially can relate to.

In what ways do you use your platform for the greater good?
I try to give off as much as I can in the best way I can! Whether that be me talking to you right now or posting on Instagram. I’m all about honesty, faithfulness, positivity, and strength!! And also of course being that way even off platforms like meeting you in person, I’m going to spread that good energy in hopes to impact others. I strive to be the same person I am online as I am offline – what you see is truly, authentically me.

During these tough times, what has kept you motivated?
Trying to take care of myself. When I’m constantly going and going, I might not have time for some of those important self-care things. Trying to stay active, eating healthier, and setting goals for myself have kept me sane and able to stay creative!

How do you remain fit, active, and healthy with stay-at-home orders intact?

Honestly, there’ a lot you can do in the comforts of your own home… At-home workouts, stretching/yoga, and you can make your healthy snacks/meals all at home. If you’re not huge into cooking like me, this is also a great time to experiment and get better! Before all this, I was travelling non-stop and never really had a chance to build a routine at home, so these months have been really fun for me to learn and try new things.

As a creative in quarantine, how have you found inspiration and ways to create?
I will say, it’s not easy. There’s a lot of days where I feel a lack of energy and not so motivated, but using this time to also create in silence, is exciting. It’s almost like everything is going to be a surprise!

What and/or who has had the most influence on your growth and why?
Honestly, opportunities that haven’t worked out through my journey — I’m talking about both things and people. That has been such a huge influence on my growth I think a lot more than I realized or thought it would be. It makes me have the mindset to be better and show I can do it no matter what comes in my way….I’m going to do it or achieve it.

How have you found ways to educate yourself and those around you?
I feel like there’s no right or wrong way to do it. Research and just having an open ear rather than just talking without listening. I’m a huge listener and observer and I feel like that’s how I educate myself the best.

What do you think are ways that others can help society and our surrounding communities?
Getting involved in causes that you care about, and using your voice in a positive way.

In what ways has your life changed due to current events?
It’s changed a lot. As a performer and a type of influencer, I feel like we’re having to come up with different ways to do what we normally do and use platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or any video/chat to stay connected!! We’re having to learn a whole new way of communicating the best we can! It’s been fun navigating through this time to say the least.

What advice do you have for someone who aspires to create a career like your own?
I say to be yourself to the fullest. If you’re shy, that doesn’t stop you and I’m proof of it. I was probably one of the shyest you’d ever meet. I could barely sing in front of people, and an interview??! Never! But I pulled the band aid off and just did it. That saying you hear about getting out of your comfort zone? Well that’s a real thing! You can do it!! Stay true to you. Don’t let people steer you in a direction that’s not you, and have so much fun doing it!
