Meditation, yoga, chakra alignment, drumming,chef guided ceviche class, self massage techniques to release stress and muscle tension, facial techniques, the healing properties of essential oils and making your own, shaman massage, and an inspiring painting class to create your own or paint like iconic Frieda Coelho. Stand Up Paddle Boarding class, making meditation bracelets to breathe mindfulness and intention into the practice,the variety encompasses the many facets of well-being for body and soul. The activities attract and engage individuals and couples of all ages. The week highlights special dining experiences, a Caribbean lobster dinner with unique seafood specialties at El Mar; multi course dining with wine pairings at Aroma;a Mexican market, delectable traditional buffet, followed by a night of traditional music and dancers. The stunning surprise was the night of Indian food, beautifully costumed dancers punctuating the dinner with colorful movements, and the transformation of the Spa pool into a dazzling light show and water stage of stunning Cirque de Beloved acrobatic performances. Closure is an important aspect of a significant experience, and the wonderful Spa staff and event planner enlightened and inspired participants with the Mayan cultural transformation celebration as the culminating event of the beachside activities. Honoring the connection of humanity with the elements of nature, earth, air, fire, and water, Mayan dancers in traditional dress brought the music, drums and dance of the ritual to Beloved’s shores.Within each person, voiced aloud or shared only with our inner spirit, our personal wish of intention or purpose for the future, for healing, release, change,or growth was freed with the symbolic release of newly emerged varieties of butterflies from a handwoven Mayan basket. As they rose to the sky, discovering their wings and soaring to the garden flowers and palms, this spirit of harmony across cultures and the shared joy of those who came to celebrate love and life at Beloved will be a memory to cherish always.
