Emily Tosta, On a scale of one to ten how excited are you about life right now?
11! I feel super blessed, excited and grateful with life at the moment.
Where were you born?
I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
How did you first get into acting? Tell us about your journey becoming an actress.
I was always passionate about acting from a very young age, I started acting when I was around 7-8 years old. I started doing school plays and then later on moved to professional theatre in my country (Dominican Republic), I also did commercials and tv and film, then I moved to Miami to continue the pursuit of my dreams and now I live in Los Angeles and I am blessed to be currently working on two shows! (Mayans MC and Party Of Five).
What you love most about being an actress?
I love being able to build the lives of different characters, being able to dive deep into who they are and what shaped them into being that person, their childhood, what made them say or do something.
What is the best thing that happened this year?
Booking my new show Party of Five! I am thankful to be a part of such a meaningful project with an incredible cast and crew that has truly become my family.
What are your 3 favorite Summer fashion trends?
Biker shorts, mini dresses and my Gaia room purses!
If you could sing a duet with anyone, who would it be?
I would pick ROSALIA, she is so talented! I also adore how empowering she is.
Last book you read?
The last book I read was the four agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and currently reading feelings buried alive never die by Karol K Truman.
What’s your favorite country to visit?
I haven’t traveled around the world as much as I would like to, but I do love vacationing in my country, Dominican Republic.
Upcoming projects you can tell us about?
Mayans MC season 2 on FX currently airing right now where I play Leticia Cruz, a troubled badass, and Party Of Five premieres January 8th, 2020 on Freeform where I play Lucia Acosta, a straight A student with lofty college ambitions until the circumstances of her parents getting deported forces her to reevaluate her disposition to play by the rules.
Heels or flats?
Flats! (I’m a huge sneakers girl) You will literally see me wearing the fanciest dress and I will still have sneakers on haha.
Lipstick or Lip gloss?
Lip gloss! I love shiny and glossy lips.
Best beauty advice you’ve ever received?
Always wash your face before bed, wear sunscreen every morning, drink tons of water & eat healthy.
Go-to beauty product at the moment?
My Derma E vitamin c moisturizer.
What are you binge watching these days?
Grey’s Anatomy. I know I’m kind of late but I am loving it haha.
Best fan moment?
I was recently at an EMMY event and Dennis Haysbert came up to me and said he watched me on Mayans MC and was complimenting my work on the show. He gave me such wonderful advice about the industry and told me I would have a very long career if I continued to do the work I was doing, I was seriously fan girling!
If you could star alongside any other actor/actress who would it be?
Meryl Streep, Leonardo Dicaprio, Angelina Jolie.
What would be the title of your autobiography?
Hmm, I would probably name it Warrior haha.

I love Modeliste because I can always count on their magazine to keep me updated with the latest, top fashion and beauty trends.
