What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
Having just completed the Hoffman Process, I’m currently doing a quadrinity check-in, similar to a 10-minute meditation. Then I like to put on some music, head straight out for a walk, and pick up a coffee. New York before rush hour is so calm.
How did you get your start in the modeling industry?
I was working in my home country, Australia, just after I had finished high school. My agency let me know that I had a casting for a Balenciaga S/S show in Paris, which we did via video, and I confirmed it. So, I headed off to New York to do the show season… and here we are.
What's one place in the world that inspires you most?
Something about New York inspires me every time. I’ve been here for almost 10 years, but I still get excited when I land back. I love the openness of the community, the spontaneity, and how much you can really get done in a day.
Who would you say has influenced your style the most?
So many people and brands. Prada and Miu Miu runways are a good starting point… Then forever Jane Birkin, stylists I work with (including the amazing Lex Alexandris who styled this shoot), Christine Centenera, Dani Michelle, and people I see in the street.
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?
Friends and wine, or a bath, tea, and a mask. Heaven.
What's a beauty product you can't live without?
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. It’s the best lightweight, everyday coverage.
What advice would you give to someone starting in modeling today?
Know who you are on the inside and keep her close. Then it’s a joy to be creative and dress up as different characters.
What's the best fashion show you've ever walked in?
Chanel shows are always iconic, so they’re incredibly memorable.
How do you stay grounded in such a fast-paced industry?
Have close friends and family who let you just be you.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Don’t compare your life to others. There’s no comparison between the sun and the moon; both shine when it is their time.
If you could only eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Everything from a farmers’ market… and all the summer fruits and fresh vegetables. If that doesn’t count, then Japanese.
What's your go-to coffee order?
Americano with a touch of almond milk.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m type 1 diabetic and am currently studying Nutrition Science.
How would you describe your personal style in three words?
Classic, effortless, and a mixture of feminine and oversized cuts.
What’s a book you think everyone should read?
The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion – raw and honest. Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton – fun and modern. The Body by Bill Bryson – it will really make you appreciate all your body does.
What does being on the cover of Modeliste magazine mean to you?
It’s such an honor to be on the cover. Shooting with Jana and the team from Modeliste made it such a fun and memorable day – getting into cowboy classics on such an iconic set.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Having my business up and running and married with kids. Keeping life fun and busy.
