Turkish Airlines Serves Up Serious Style on Your Next Business Class Trip
Your next Turkish Airlines Business Class flight might still come with that new car smell. That’s because Turkish Airlines has announced that up to 30 new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will join the airline’s young and fast-growing fleet over the next four years, and each will feature the carrier’s bespoke, all-new Business Class cabins.
Regarded as one of the most advanced aircraft for its fuel efficiency and range flexibility, the 787-9 Dreamliner will open new routes for Turkish Airlines, reinforcing its status as the carrier that flies to more destinations than any other. The new aircraft will offer passengers refined comfort during the longest journeys across 313 destinations in 124 countries.
Within a spacious wide-body cabin featuring larger overhead luggage bins and extra-large windows, the 787-9 Dreamliner also offers dimmable LED window shades that give greater control over light entering the cabin. A new filtration, better air pressure, and greater humidity helps passengers feel less dryness and reduces fatigue. Meanwhile, the engines, interior, systems, and equipment all feature vibration isolation, which means you’re in for a quieter on-board experience when flying Turkish Airlines.
The sleek, modern cabins provide the perfect setting to enjoy Turkish Airlines’ award-winning on-board dining and in-flight entertainment. For Business Class passengers especially, the 787-9 Dreamliner elevates this experience even higher. The fancy, new Dreamliners feature 30 exceptional, all-new Business Class seats, offering a unique in-flight experience.
The lighting scenarios, for example, draw inspiration from the colorful sunsets of Turkey’s central Cappadocia region and idyllic turquoise beaches. A modern, traveler-friendly 1-2-1 layout offers all-aisle access to Business Class passengers. Enhanced privacy panels, personal closed stowage space, a self-care mirror, and a wide cocktail table maximizes space to offer ultimate comfort and introduces a privileged experience.
Forty-four-inch legroom and a 180-degree fully-flat 76-inch seat bed are provided for each of the 30 seats. Increased seclusion comes from the adjustable privacy panel between the paired middle seats and newly designed seat shell. An 18-inch HD video display and touchscreen remote control raise the entertainment offering. Suede-like alcantara padding — commonly found in sports cars — used for the interior trimming of each Business Class seat, adds another welcome touch of luxury and refinement.
For added style, Turkish Airlines has started to welcome its Business Class passengers on intercontinental flights with the elegant and sophisticated designs of Versace. If airlines charged for amenity kits, this is one you’d probably want to pay for. Each set comes with socks, earplugs, a sleep mask, Versace lip balm, hand lotion and facial mist.
What makes this collection distinct is that these new amenity kits, designed exclusively for Turkish Airlines, are prepared for men and women passengers separately, keeping their individual needs in mind. The functional design of the bags, available in different colors, makes their use after the flight more appealing. And the must-have moisturizers by Versace, inside the special pocket of the bag, ensure the passengers have a comfortable time during their long flights.
The other travel set offered for economy class passengers on intercontinental flights is designed by Mandarina Duck, renowned for bringing innovative and functional solutions to travelers with its smart and unique designs. This set includes sleep mask, socks, earplugs, lip balm, toothbrush and toothpaste. Attentive to present natural and high-quality dermocosmetic products to its passengers, Turkish Airlines also offers the products of Atelier Rebull, who has a deep rooted past dating back to 1895, in its new travel kits. The mentioned brand, whose products are currently provided in Economy Class lavatories of the airline, offers lip balms as skin care product in these travel kits.
And then there is the Turkish Airlines cabin crew, whose new uniforms redefine elegance in the sky. Italian haute couturier Ettore Bilotta designed the new cabin uniforms, which were developed to celebrate the airline’s 85th anniversary. Inspired by many classical details in Turkish culture, from the currents of the Bosphorus to the artisanal glassware, ceramics and calligraphy patterns produced by local artisans, the cabin, cockpit, ground handling personnel and flying chef uniforms came to life under a single design in order to give their passengers a holistic brand experience.
The new uniforms in flag-red and anthracite gray colors were rigorously tested on long-range flights and have since been tailored to 25,000 employees in order for cabin crews to serve passengers comfortably. Each were specially sewn by Vakko, and the main fabrics were produced by Altinyildiz, based on the compliance of Turkish Airlines with flight standards.
And while the uniform bears elements of Turkish culture, the most important signature style for Turkish Airlines is its unrivaled service quality. By choosing Business Class, you can feel special in the skies not only with award-winning dishes, the latest in-flight entertainment system and comfortable seating, but also with friendly, helpful attentive service from the crew, who are always willing to go the extra mile for their best customers.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard Turkish Airlines, the airline of the future.
