Tell us about yourself.
I’m currently living in Minnesota, but my background is Somali! I’m 20 years old and currently a student studying Marketing and PR. I would define my career as fun, unique and surprising.
Describe yourself in three words.
Good-hearted, creative, and passionate.
What can people expect to see from your social media platforms?
I want people to see my page and see something original. I also love sharing the things I love and care for and giving people inspiration.
Can you share insight into the process of creating the platform you have today? What challenges did you overcome and which part seemed seamless?
I started taking beauty content when I was around 16 years old and starting posting them on Twitter. When COVID first hit, I left my retail job and started focusing more on creating content and being consistent on Instagram. Some challenges I faced at first was creating quality content instead of over -producing content. I was also focused on trying to balance school and my social media but overcame that with time management. The seamless part was feeling inspired to take pictures. I’m always ready and love coming up with new content ideas.
What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?
I love indie and alternative music. It’s not super surprising but it’s something not a lot of people know.
What’s a goal in your career you hope to accomplish?
I hope to have my own name brand and expand into the fashion and beauty world. I would also love to collaborate and have my own collection/line at one of my favorite online stores.
What and who inspires you the most? Why?
My parents inspire me the most. I’m so grateful to them and how I was raised. Their life stories motivate me and keep me grounded.
As an influencer, how do you hope to influence people through your platform?
I hope to influence people by spreading knowledge about what’s going on in the
world and have them leave with a new piece of information each time.

Are you working on any exciting projects you can share?
I currently have a few collabs in the works that will be shared on my Instagram soon!
What are three items in your closet you cannot live without?
My green Nike Dunks, low rise baggy jeans, and an oversized black blazer.
Essential product in your beauty routine?
Laneige lip sleeping mask, Summer Fridays eye cream, and Unseen sunscreen.
What was your favorite part of staying at Prince Waikiki? What activities would you recommend for someone looking to visit?
I loved the perfect views and daily breakfast. I would recommend using Vida Mia Hawaii for an amazing yacht experience or something as simple as hiking to the nearest waterfall!
What are you looking forward to most in 2022?
I’m looking forward to the summer and being able to continue traveling.
What advice would you give to someone who aspires to have a career like yours?
My advice is to always be yourself. Produce content that you’re proud of and make sure you love what you do!

I wouldn’t be where I am in my career without the people that support me. I’m endlessly grateful. I love you all!
