When asked to choose the highlight of the Pelican Grand Beach Resort experience, it was impossible to agree. There is the rooftop PURE Spa and terrace, the ultimate in luxury spa rooms with ocean views, soaker tub and rain shower, a full menu of massage and body treatments with a gifted staff, an array of oils, lotions, and scrubs, and the stunning terrace and ocean views to complete the experience of true harmony, mindful of body and spirit restored. Of course, there is Ft. Lauderdale’s only Lazy River beckoning young and old to float through the tropical gardens, the family pool beside the O2K Lounge and restaurant serving a generous fare of light plates, our favorite sliders, and best refreshing cocktails, especially those popular pina coladas. Then, arguably another favorite, The Emporium old fashioned ice cream shop, for the yummiest treats. Finally, we had to admit the Sunday Brunch was indescribable in its bountiful presentation, OCEAN2000 always guaranteed to offer the best in dining with seafood specialties and an exciting menu of innovative visioning of traditional favorites whatever time of day. Candlelight dining on the verandah with the silvery moonlight dancing on the waters and the rhythm of the waves captures the picture of romance at Pelican Grand Beach Resort.
But finally, we had to agree that the spacious guest rooms and suites were amazing retreats. Having an actual Florida room inspired living space with room to relax and spread out, watch TV, enjoy in-room dining, the sofa bed great for families, and the balcony with panoramic ocean views for spotting dolphins and ships in the distance, was definitively perfection. Sleeping on a cloud of white in pillowtop luxury plus spacious designer baths makes this a delightful home away from home. While we couldn’t agree on one highlight, Pelican Grand Beach Resort offers these highlights and more, our top choice destination resort hotel where Ft. Lauderdale can be enjoyed in year-round luxury and comfort for everyone.
