In fashion, as in life, September tends to be associated with a turning point of the year – a new season and bright beginnings.

As I write this early one morning, we are in Cappadocia, Turkey. Having just returned from shooting our Cover with actress and singer Victoria Justice while watching hundreds of hot air balloons float by in the freshly sunlit sky, I sit in my hotel room, an ancient cave carved into the mountain. The views are picturesque and expansive and I am embraced with the spirit of travel and adventure. This moment could not have been promised or anticipated – which is why it is so precious. For if life has taught me anything, it is that these moments are to be cherished. This is part of our philosophy at Modeliste – along with the belief that moments of beauty and joy can be celebrated and shared.

So it with that inspiration we bring you the new September issue. Our cover story with Victoria Justice has been created in the most glorious of landscapes in Turkey from the vibrant city of Istanbul to the spectacular rock formations in Cappadocia. As with all of our issues of Modeliste, we celebrate the women we admire. We love Victoria Justice for her support of other women and numerous other philanthropic causes she holds close to her heart. We are inspired by her honest approach to life, her endless stream of talent and creativity as well as her sunny optimism and dedication to hard work. I feel so lucky to be the editor of Modeliste at this moment in time – and to work with such an extraordinarily talented team as well as have both Victoria’s mother as well as sister, Madison Grace share in our Turkish adventure. You’ll find our Cover star interview in the issue with Madison and Victoria interviewing one another which is gives a glimpse into their genuine bond and candid hilarity. A special thank you to Turkish Airlines bringing us to Turkey and sharing in our philosophy of widening our world. It is our hope that this issue will widen yours.
Welcome to the issue.
