The sun-saturated shores of Wailea are known for stunning sunsets, abundant marine life, and the picturesque Coastal Walkway linking the chain of five golden beaches, flanked by bountiful fragrant tropical gardens and Maui’s prime resort area crowned by the magnificent Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel. The joy of the New Year is reverberating through the halls, suites and villas of the Fairmont, celebrating the completion of the final phase of the property’s multifaceted transformation, Ho’omaka Hou, with the unveiling of the revisioned Fairmont Lobby with a luxurious contemporary design aesthetic, flourishing gardens, waterfalls, welcoming reception area and conversational clusters, a new premier open air specialty bar and lounge, Pilina, and the much anticipated interactive Hawaiian cultural center, Hale Kukuna.

The iconic Fairmont Kea Lani is known for its picturesque prominence above Polo Beach, outstanding hospitality, exceptionally spacious all-suite and villa accommodations, fine dining venues, three stunning pools including the Serenity adults only pool, sense-sational Willow Stream Spa, and a wide range of amenities and event venues that make each stay truly wondrous.

Beachside Luxury

The transformation of Fairmont Kea Lani began with the 413 one bedroom suites and 37 luxury two and three bedroom villas. Inspired by natural island hues of soft sands, sky and ocean blues, florals and foliage, the palette of the spacious suites is reflected throughout in the luxurious contemporary furnishings, including assured comfort in each crescent sleeper sofa and king sized bed with cuddly duvet. Elements of design are both artful and functional in the use of space and in the use of wood accents, textures, and soothing colors. The suites feature an expansive bathroom with entry from the bedroom and living area, a large soaker tub, separate shower, generous double vanity, and privacy toilet. The spacious balcony provides a dining and lounging area with pool and garden views, and choice of a panoramic ocean view to the iconic Molokini crescent, where the coral reef shelters a treasured marine life sanctuary. The luxurious two story white washed villas are poised on a perfectly manicured lawn that extends to the beach, with 2 or 3 bedrooms to accommodate family or friends with the comforts of home and service to meet all your needs.

Delectable Dining
Fairmont Kea Lani has a notable range of fine dining with an odyssey of fresh cuisines to please every palate. AMA also caters to your poolside needs with a menu designed for your cabana comfort or while basking on your sun lounger.

Dining under the stars with views of the pool and gardens, Ko, is atmospheric dining at its finest, representing the diverse culinary contributions of Hawaii’s heritage, native and traditional specialties from across Hawaii’s population as defined by Executive Chef Aris Aurelio. His talent is innovation in his array of preparations and presentations, spices, rubs, and seasonings from diverse cuisines, Asian to Portuguese, pupu platters to ahi tataki, a unique presentation of diverse dishes, from Kobe beef to zarzuela, seafood lau lau to Korean short ribs. The designer bar provides a welcoming ambience with an extensive wine cellar, mixologist magic, and local craft beers to suit every occasion.

The torch lighting ceremony sets the mood as the sinking sun leaves behind a glowing sky of pink and peach beyond the patio dining at the award winning Nick’s Fishmarket. Nick’s manager, Chris, engages guests with a welcome that frames the festive atmosphere carried through the evening with families and friends celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and time together. Chef Maka Kwon brings fresh catch seafood and the harvest of Maui’s local farm to table culture to the Fishmarket’s tables with an extraordinary menu. Highlights range from appetizers of succulent Lump Crab to the impressive photo op Seafood Tower, entrees including macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi, Rack of Lamb, and a 12 oz grilled Spiny Lobster Tail. Save room for a decadent dessert, Macadamia Nut Brownie for chocolate lovers, a dramatic Banana Foster presentation, or famed (Modeliste) favorite, Nick’s Creme Brulee.

The newest addition to the Fairmont Kea Lani restaurant and bar scene, Pilina, has immediately transformed the Lobby with its rave ocean and sunset views, chic sophistication and fresh take on innovation in mixology. The vision of Fairmont Kea Lani’s wizard, Cameron, on his quest for natural and native ingredients to enhance, create and re-create cocktails will definitely dazzle your taste buds. His inventive spirit with spirits has lured him across the Hawaiian islands to discover Hawaiian secrets of rum, wet gin, pollen, honey and florals that have endless combinations in innovative cocktails for sophisticated palates. The wow factor is tantalizing, with a Cameron specialty, Aloha, Vaqueros, spiked with chili verde, shishito pepper and rimmed with black volcanic salt or the unique flavors of Rum, Vermouth, a bit of goat cheese, citrus and coconut foam – truly a White Mountain artistic taste sensation.

The indomitable Aloha spirit, resilient and resolved in its deep sense of community, love and respect for its sacred land remains strong as the process of restoration and reclamation of the slash of land impacted by the August wildfires including a multitude of homes, businesses, and the beloved Lahaina village. The broader meaning of Aloha, compassion and empathy, peace, love and affection, living with kindness and respect defines the coming together of the broader Maui community and Hawaiian Islands. Those who celebrated weddings and honeymoons, family gatherings, milestones and memories of the island’s beauty, the shared joys of a Maui vacation, join together in gratitude to contribute to the restoration process.
