Model Diaries: Hannah Stocking

You are truly one of the biggest and hottest Internet sensations and personalities at the moment, tell us about your journey in how you began your career?
Ever since I was a child, my sister and I would make funny homemade videos and recreate music videos on our moms camera. However, when I went to college, I was studying pre-med and was set on becoming a doctor. I was at the gym one day and I met some people who we’re making videos on the internet. We hung out and I started making videos with them – that’s how it all began!

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Ashland, Oregon! It’s a small town near the border of California.

What is one thing you miss the most about your hometown?
Ashland is the best place in the world. I miss the scenery, the fresh air and how green everything is. I was always a 15 minute drive away from the mountains, to go snowboarding, or the lake, to go boating. I miss it a lot!

What do you love most about being a Creator?
I love the whole process of creating content. It all starts with a simple day dream and then I grow it into a post – that lasts on the internet forever!=

What’s the biggest misconception about being a Creator?
That it’s easy. Myself and other creators who are constantly creating are all incredibly driven and hardworking individuals. Most people don’t know this, but I write, act, direct and edit all of my videos. There’s a lot of pressure that I put on myself to create content daily and I rarely take days off! But that being said, I love what I do!

Social media of the future will look like the new television.

What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever done in your life?
Got matching tattoos with someone that I knew for three days!

What’s a TV show you would like to make a cameo in?
The Haunting of Hill House

What inspires your videos?
Most of my videos are based off real life events!

How would you describe yourself in an emoji?
A clown because I can’t go a day without being goofy.

How do you interact and engage with your audience?
It means so much to me that I can make people smile and laugh every day. I read every single comment and try to respond to as many as I can. Also, I ask my audience on what they want to see! On IGTV, I have a series called Science of Beauty and I ask everyone for their beauty questions and I try to make a fun and entertaining video that answers their questions!

What is something on your bucket list that you would love to accomplish in the next 5 years?
I want to continue to expand my clothing line! I can’t wait to see what it’s like in the next year to five years.

How do you describe your personal style?
Sporty Chic.

What’s your current obsession?
My new German Shepherd puppy, Patty! And I’ve also been binge watching stand-up comedy.

Describe a typical day off for you- how do you like to spend your free time?
I like to catch up on my sleep, spend time with my dogs and go to the spa to relax.

What is your #1 go-to beauty secret?
Spray tans. They hide a lot of imperfections.

What’s the best advice you have ever received?
Pain and change are promised, but do what makes you happy.

Do you have any upcoming projects that you can tell us about?
I’m working on a few projects right now, most of them are still in the early stages! At the moment, I’m working on expanding my STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) content. I’m also working on expanding my clothing line.

What is one thing your fans don’t know about you?
I drink a ridiculous amount of green tea every day.

What do you love most about Modeliste Magazine?
I love fashion and Modeliste Magazine does an amazing job at showing the versatility of fashion.

Why are you excited to be our next Cover Star?
I’m excited for everyone to see the photos we took in Death Valley. The trip there was so funny and I came out of it with amazing stories that I can’t wait to tell my kids one day. Also, I am so excited and honored to be apart of this magazine with all of the beautiful women who have been past cover stars!
